Donation Drop-offs
Donate with Dignity
Every donation helps a neighbor in need, whether it’s a child’s next outfit, a book for a classroom, or supplies for a family starting over. We ask that all items be clean, complete, and ready to give (no mystery stains, broken pieces, or essential missing parts).
Donations may go directly to families through our clothing closet or outreach events, or be shared with partner programs, schools, or aligned organizations. We make sure your gift goes where it’s most needed.
What We Accept
We accept children’s clothing from newborn through size 16/18, along with shoes, books, backpacks, school supplies, toys, and diapers. We also welcome baby supplies like blankets, burp cloths, bottles, strollers, and unopened formula (must not be expired).
We gladly accept musical instruments, plants and cuttings, and items that can be used in school or community settings — like art supplies, science kits, sports equipment, or classroom games.
Everything should be in good condition, safe to use, and something you'd feel good giving to a friend.
What We Do Not Accept
To keep our space safe and useful for families, we do not accept:

phil the box
The large blue donation bin located on the far side of the church property near SHUMPS will remain available for Community Closet donations.
Thanks to the continued support of Seminole Heights Methodist Church, the bin has become an easy and reliable way for neighbors to help local families. Donations are collected, sorted, and distributed by volunteers to keep the Community Closet stocked throughout the week.
You can find the bin in the far corner of the property near Paris Ave. and the SHUMPS entrance. Once you know where to look, it’s easy to spot.
The bin accepts:
-
Adult and children’s clothing
-
Shoes
-
Accessories like purses and belts
-
Linens such as sheets and blankets
Please bag all items before placing them in the bin.
If you have items you no longer need, this is a simple way to pass them along to someone who can use them.
